Do you work in Elearning in Gloucestershire?
Following the success of our first meeting in February, join us for the second meeting of weeLearning Glos.
Like weeLearning Bristol our aim is to bring together people working in elearning. This might be those working in its development, providing services to the industry or those responsible for buying these types of resources.
What will be slightly different about Weelearning Glos is that it will focus on making strong connections with each other, think networking event but without the hard sell.
Do you provide elearning services?
With lots of elearning companies, solo professionals and freelancers working in Gloucestershire this event is a great opportunity build connections. By working with each other we can increase our capabilities, as well as, if appropriate partner on projects. For example, how great would it be to find other local freelance instructional designers or media developers for those big projects? Would you find it useful to find others to partner with on those bigger projects so you can finally give the big boys a run for their money? As the saying goes sometimes ‘It’s not what you know but who you know’
Do you work in Training or L&D?
If you work in learning and development in the public, private or charity sector you will find the group a great place to meet other people who are working on the same problems as you. It will also give you an opportunity to get to know potential suppliers socially so you can respond to business needs quickly with people you can trust.
When – 25th April 2013
What – The meeting with start with a bit of informal networking. If you don’t know anyone when you arrive come and introduce yourself to Gill (theres a pretty accurate photo on her about.me page). She will introduce you to a few people to get you started.
After everyone is settled, you will be asked to introduce yourself and just say (briefly) what you do and where you work. We’ll then have a short presentation (fingers cross!) by Neil Hyde from Elearning247 about their online development tool followed by time for questions and discussion. You will then have a chance to go and introduce yourself to people before heading home.
Where – The Market Tavern, Stroud, Glos, GL5 2HE – check out their facebook page for info
