Who’s Speaking?

Steve Hull from the JISC Digital Media team at Bristol University will be showcasing some of the work he’s been involved in recently.

After gaining an Honours B.Sc. in Physics and an M.Sc. in Computer Science Steve worked in the computer industry for many years.  He subsequently earned an Honours B.A. in Film and Video and worked in the broadcast and corporate video sector variously as a producer, director, cameraperson, sound recordist and editor before joining JISC Digital Media.

Dan Roddy will look at the perils and pitfalls of choosing a setup and what options there are for your project and budget. He’s also planning on bringing in some of his kit so you can get

He will also be selling knock off DVDs where the colour is somewhat off and the sound is oddly tinny and half way through a bloke stands up to head off to the toilet.
By day Dan is a learning technologist at Eastwood Park Training Centre.
Stephen Clee from iVIDiQ will be talking about innovative ways companies are using video to support learning, knowledge management and collaboration.
iVIDiQ were responsible for streaming the last Learning Technologies conference using Annotag. This meant anybody from anywhere in the world could watch any of the sessions live for free, which turned the conference into a truly inclusive event and turbo charged the back channel.


Lastly we’ll have a world café style session at the end for everyone to share their experiences of using video to support learning.
